Scapicchio Barbershop

Bovino, Italy / Level 1

Choose Bovino for the roots of the Scapicchio standard, where tradition isn’t a story, it’s daily practice. It’s the full heritage experience: trained by the family, in the place where the Academy was born.

Roots

In Bovino, you follow Level 1, the official starting point of the Scapicchio Academy. You’re immersed in the fundamentals of straight-razor shaving, edge care, and service structure, taught inside a living history that dates back to 1820. It’s where the craft begins, with the family standard as your foundation.

Primarily for beginners to intermediate barbers who want to start the official Scapicchio path the right way. It’s also suitable for motivated enthusiasts, but the focus is on building a professional foundation: fundamentals, discipline, and the Academy standard.

Fly into Naples International Airport (NAP), rent a car at the airport, and drive to Bovino, approximately 2 hours depending on traffic.

ROMAIN Barbershop

Ghent, Belgium / Level 2

Choose Ghent to train inside the oldest active barbershop in Belgium, where heritage meets real execution. It’s the natural continuation after Level 1, small-group intensity, close mentorship, and the place where barbers are shaped into masters.

Discipline

In Ghent, you continue the journey after Level 1 with advanced, hands-on training. We go deeper into beard care, straight-razor shaving, and honing—freehand work on kamisori, full wedge, and hollow grinds. It’s intensive, practical, and built around repetition, feedback, and real service, plus much more.

For graduates of Level 1 who want to go deeper and sharpen their skills through intensive, hands-on work. It’s best suited for intermediate to advanced students-barbers and serious trainees, ready to refine service execution, shaving, beard work, and freehand honing under close mentorship.

Fly intBrussels Airport (Zaventem – BRU) and take the train to Ghent. From there, take a local tram to the barbershop, total travel time is approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic.
